  • I just came across Wikipedia:Princess Sissi apparently there was another pair of 26-episode seasons (total 52) produced by France/Quebec from 1997-1998. I think this is actually the show I remember watching, because it was definitely pre-2015.

Do you think we might also be able to describe this series at this wiki or would you prefer that be located at a separate wiki?

Would be kind of interesting to compare the different takes on the characters ~20 years apart. Sort of like how DC/Marvel wikis cover different incarnations of the same characters on different timelines/universes.

  • "78 (including pilot)"

This is mentioned at Sissi: The Young Empress episode list. Do you recall how you got that number?

I don't know if it has changed since this June 2018 article but it mentions the first 2 seasons had a total of 56 episodes, but I only see 26 per season (total 52) and plus the 'ep 0' pilot would reach 53. Do you think Mercedes Milligan made a mistake, or is there possibly 3-4 episodes missing?

I'm wondering if perhaps MM got confused and read bout there being three 2-part episodes and figured the 'count 52' had been reduced from 'count 55' as a result, when in fact you had actually in your list already counted the 49 titles as 52 episodes?

It also mentions the new 3D season will have 52 episodes, so it seems like there might be 104 in total (105 counting the pilot) although with 11-minute episodes they often tend to get batched together in broadcast so it might end up being packaged like another 26-episode season and create a total of 78 episodes... but if we added the pilot it should be 79?

  • I think I vaguely remember watching this years ago. I can't seem to find the show on Wikipedia though... they don't seem keen on recognizing the Italian "Mondo" shows (maybe not enough views?) even though they're pretty decent. That's sad, since Japanese anime shows usually get lots of coverage despite not being English-origin.

Category:Episodes shows 50 but I noticed at https://vimeo.com/373120102 it is 1 hour 30 minutes long even though Love at First Sight is one episode so I would think it would only be 30 minutes... I guess maybe it's possible they mis-named it and they might've merged other episodes in there?

I was wondering, do you think we should also have articles for the films (ie the trilogy) in the 50s from Austria? The popularity 1955 and 1956 and 1957 releases might've been the basis for the attempting the cartoon? Seems likely since the 2nd film's title is the title of the toon.

I noticed here that Sissi: The Young Empress mentions 78 episodes, does that mean that there are 28 missing?

Actually I can see 3 2-part episodes, so if I subtract that, likely just 25 missing? My guess is season 3.
